Pre-K through Fifth grade students have a number of opportunities to learn and worship at Akron First UMC.
Skilled and dedicated teachers share stories and crafts during the Sunday School time, 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday mornings during the school year.
Each Sunday, those up to third grade are excused after the Children’s Moment during worship to go to Kids Worship where they have time to talk about the message of the morning, share songs, and celebrate each other. From Kid’s Worship they will go to their respective Sunday School class.
Family centered times of Faith, Family, and Fun are scheduled at various times during the year. A light dinner is served and age appropriate, faith building activities shared.
Vacation Bible School, sledding parties, and picnics are also part of the opportunities for children and youth.
Akron Parents Association Nursery School Co-Op and Holy Cross Head Start programs are located at Akron First UMC and local Girl Scout and Boy Scouts also meet here.
